Dr. Haselhoff offers scientific proof that at least some crop circles are indeed formed by balls of light/UFO’S. This morning my friend Dr. Simeon Hein called to tell me that he had taken Ron Russell’s tour to Avebury in the morning, and discovered a new crop formation adjacent to the North-West quadrant of the henge. Normally I would have immediately gone to have a look, as Avebury is close by, but I was tired from a late night, and just stayed in bed working on Email.

But then around noon my pilot, Dai Dobbs, wrote to say that he had bought a new 3-axis micro-light aircraft, and would I like to go for a cruse — oh, boy, WOULD I?!

So soon we were headed for the new circle, and got good shots.

The new formation is obviously a diagrammatic representation of the Sun and planets (with no care for proper astronomical proportions). But the smaller inner ones (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars) are clearly delineated from the giant outer ones (Jupiter, Saturn Uranus and Neptune).

And there is a huge Sun with an unusual reversing swirl lay.

As for Pluto, is it another small planet and displayed the same as the little inner ones, with a small size and thin orbital line. I also know enough to recognize that it’s orbit is symbolically correct in that it goes well outside of Neptune’s path for most of the way, but for a while it is within the Sea God’s orbit (note the upper left hand part).

I have an astronomer friend who I asked to check the planetary positions, but he said they do not match the present time.The crop circle formation at Avebury Manor seems to depict our solar-system (not in proportional scale) on December 21, (+/-) 2012 – the highly debated end of the Mayan calendar (or at least one of the most prominent interpretations of that date). Whatever this means and who-or-whatever created this crop circle, I do not know – but the basic message of it is quite clear.

The most complex, “mind-boggling” crop circle ever to be seen in Britain has been discovered in a barley field in Wiltshire. The formation, measuring 150ft in diameter, is apparently a coded image representing the first 10 digits, 3.141592654, of pi. It is has appeared in a field near Barbury Castle, an iron-age hill fort above Wroughton, Wilts, and has been described by astrophysicists as “mind-boggling”.

Michael Reed, an astrophysicist, said: “The tenth digit has even been correctly rounded up. The little dot near the centre is the decimal point. “The code is based on 10 angular segments with the radial jumps being the indicator of each segment.

“Starting at the centre and counting the number of one-tenth segments in each section contained by the change in radius clearly shows the values of the first 10 digits in the value of pi.”

Lucy Pringle, a researcher of crop formations, said: “This is an astounding development – it is a seminal event.”

Mathematics codes and geometric patterns have long been an important factor in crop circle formations. One of the best known formations showed the image of a highly complex set of shapes known as The Julia Set, 12 years ago.
