Residents of the city of Perm, in Russia’s Ural region, say that they could see a strange object in the sky. The object, eyewitnesses said, was hanging in the air above the city, scanned the area with a beam of light and even let off several “passengers.” The people did not specify what kind of passengers they were exactly and how they disembarked from what seemed to be a spaceship.
A woman saw a strange object in the window at about 2-4 o’clock a.m. She woke up her daughter and asked her to take a look at the strange sight. The two women could see a disk-like object sending three glittering beams of light on the ground.
Many city residents discussed the strange object on local forums.
Nikolai Subbotin, the director of RUFOS research station said the specialists of the station were investigating the information about the appearance of a UFO above Perm on January 9, Arguments and Facts newspaper wrote.

Britain’s Telegraph newspaper confirms a giant pyramid which appeared to be a UFO hovering over the Kremlin. Reportedly, Nick Pope, a former British Ministry of Defence UFO analyst, at first had doubts. But when the flying triangle was seen on video moving behind a power line, Pope became less sceptical and he said it was one of the most extraordinary UFO clips that he had ever seen.
Pravda reports as of December 18th, 2009, “a large triangle-shaped object hovering above Red Square.” Reportedly, amateur video of same has been a hit on YouTube. Whatever it was, Pravda estimates the flying triangle to have been 1.5 kilometers wide.
This already bizarre story becomes more unusual when Michael Salla, Ph.D., claims “the pyramid UFO actually appeared on December 9, the same day of the mysterious Norway Spiral Lights, and one day before President Obamas Nobel Peace Prize speech”. Yet Pravda, for some reason, reported the flying pyramid not when the incident occurred, but nine days later. Was Pravda trying to downplay any possible link between the Norway Light spiral and the UFO pyramid over the Kremlin? The pyramid UFO was filmed the same day December 9th 2009, as the 12th Russian Bulava ICBM missile failed and caused the Norway spiral UFO.
A spokesman for aerospace journal Jane’s News said: “We have no idea what it is.”

The latest news that I could find about EKIP date back to 2003-2004 when the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) was going to co-partner further developments and building of this aircraft. Apparently the test flights were tentatively scheduled for 2007 at Webster Field, near Patuxent River. http://www.wired.com/science/discover…
